It just beggers belief how New labour sat on their fat arses in Parliament and did nothing to stimulate 'proper manufacturing jobs'. The fact that after 11 years in power they left one million young people unemployed was a national disgrace and now we have the true facts about jobless families.

You New Labour supporters should be ashamed and you are bleating on about Cameron's cuts, you should have been bleating like the sheep you are, about this disgrace.

It amuses me that we get the odd poster here who de-cries our country, the scum living in it and insists that these things wouldn’t happen if we were all able to bear arms.

In the interest of balance, I’d like those good ole boys to read and consider the following.

Beware of priests bearing gifts -- they may want something unspeakable in return. Such is the case of John Fiala, a 51-year old Catholic priest from Rocksprings, Texas who first eyed his 16-year old victim playing basketball for the local high school.

He showered the teen with gifts -- a laptop, cell phone, MP3 player, alcohol and a car. (What kind of parent isn't suspicious of a priest who buys their high school kid a car??) Fiala evidently felt the teen owed him something and leveraged the car into making the teen perform oral sex. Indeed, he molested him up to twice a month from January to August 2008, during private catechism classes. (Religious instruction that suggests the distant, faint refrain of Montell Jordan's "This Is How We Do It.")

Once Fiala took the teen to visit his girlfriend in Big Springs, Texas, three and a half hours away. On the way back they stopped at a motel where Fiala pulled a gun and forced the teen to pleasure him. He pulled the gun one other time to enforce his sexual compliance as well.

Naturally, this wasn't Fiala's first instance of questionable behavior. In 2002 a man came forward accusing the priest of making unwanted advances toward him while preaching in Omaha, Nebraska in 1985, when the man was a minor. They found the claim credible and paid for the man's counseling. The Nebraska church alerted Fiala's supervisors, who failed to act. This despite the fact the Archdiocese of San Antonio settled a lawsuit for $4million in 1998, filed by seven boys from the Rocksprings area sexually abused by pedophile priest Xavier Ortiz-Dietz. (Is there some point where they begin to take this stuff seriously?)

Fiala was removed from his position in October 2008, when the latest charges came to the church's attention. A lawsuit followed in April, and law enforcement eventually got involved. A week ago Friday Fiala was apprehended by U.S. Marshalls in his red and black Mustang. Last Monday he was indicted by a grand jury. He faces four counts of sex crimes against children.
