I will definatley try that coffee and walnut cake out and the 18th century apple flan recipe, she is on BBC 2 doing a series of her cookery on tv and books over the decades. I love her cooking and recipes they are so easy to follow and complete.

I've not seen her telly programme, and normally never watch cookery programmes at all, but heard her on R4 shortly before christmas, answering listeners' questions about christmas dinner - and she gave some really useful advice. That day I learnt how to make roast potatoes! :)

In all my years in catering the one book I was never without was Delia's Magnum Opus, her Complete Illustrated Cookery Course, because all her recipes work. When you have forgotten how to do something you can always rely on good old Delia.
Doppio espresso per favor and turn up the freakin' music.

I love Delia, her stuff's easy to follow and always tasty. One of her first books was one for cakes, it's used frequently!

If I ever tire of Jamie I might take a look at Delia
We desire to understand the world by giving names to the things we see,
but these things are only the effects of something subtle.

When we see beyond the desire to use names,
we can sense the nameless cause of these effects.

I shall have to look up some of these recipes. I have been using Delia's books for over 30 years and think she is fantastic. I have her 'Complete Cookery' book plus 'Summer' and 'Winter'recipes.
It is self-evident that a generous heart and wholesome actions lead to greater peace and that their negative counterparts bring undesirable consequences.
