In all honesty Brian, I do not think that I would care for the isolation. I understand that once one is outside of the city, there are no appreciably sized settlements for hundreds of miles. I think that the nearest big city to Perth is Adelaide, over 1 000 miles away.

However, whilst I do not think that I would like to settle there, it does sound like a nice place for a holiday.

Have to admit I haven't been, despite 11 years now living on the East coast. Haven't been to NZ or Tasmania either.
Hit traffic on the Dogger Bank,
Up the Thames to find a taxi rank
