What a fantastic image! I've just printed it out for my wee girl so she can goggle at it too.

"Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives."

It's nice to get a bit of perspective from time to time........ wonderful image.

That is amazing, it makes you feel very small in the scheme of things though!

Great isn't it? Quite apt for me as I'm just finishing that book 'Moondust', which I know you and others here have read (only £3 in HMV!).

That Sagan quote, have you read his stuff? I'd like to but am scared it'd boil my tiny brain. Would he be gentle with me?

Did you know Andrew Smith came so close to interviewing Neil Armstrong.... he got as far as email contact with him but Neil refused to be interviewed which is the norm for him.

No, and it's for the exact same reason you give... though you can get 'Cosmos' for less than £20 now... it's a fecking steal at that price!

Mads, my brain might be tiny, but it is capable of reading. That's a DVD you've linked to.

The book is even cheaper!!! :)

Awesome 8)
It is self-evident that a generous heart and wholesome actions lead to greater peace and that their negative counterparts bring undesirable consequences.
